The end of the Season
Kyler played his last t-ball game today. His father coach was glad to see the season come to an end, he is so accustomed to coaching his accelerated girls, the t-ball kids aren't quite at the same level. In an effort to give everyone a turn fielding the ball, a line was created at the pitcher's mound. If you weren't "lucky" enough to have a turn on a base you played here. The coach stands on the mound with the players to keep things orderly and break up the wrestling matches. T-ball is almost painful to watch, oops, I didn't say that.
Kyler has watched enough ball to know how to run after someone to tag them out. He could maybe teach his sisters a thing or two about protecting the ball with his other hand to keep it in the glove.
He never became fond of the tee.
And every once in a while he would draw the short stick and had to wear the extra large helmet. None of the boys complained about this, an advantage of never getting out (because you had to hold your helmet on your head).
The season was successful -- no broken bones and no skirmishes that ended in blood.
Kyler is on the front row third from the left.

your blogging is inspiring me. can i hire you? cute picture of kyler running with the ball. a picture is worth a thousand words - - i think this one definitely qualifies. i'm glad brade at least got to see one game since i didn't.
t-ball is a hard thing. I'm glad that Kyler loved it though. He was so excited to be a player this year, where he got to go to his own games. He likes the Red Sox now too, but his buddy Ty is quickly talking him out of it, and towards the Yankees. The boys were fun to play with, and yes, wrestling matches were more common than outs.
